A recent study of popular expatriate locations has revealed that the friendliest country in the world is Thailand.
In HSBC’s recent Expat Explorer guide 3,100 expatriates from around the world were surveyed to gain an insight into many different aspects of expat life around the globe. Amongst the many categories was the country that was most accommodating to foreigners, the friendliest country. The country which had the honour of taking this accolade is Thailand with Vietnam, Hong Kong, Malaysia and Bahrain making up the rest of the top five.
The flipside of these friendly nations are those countries who are less accommodating; the countries that have this dubious honour of being the least friendly are Japan, Germany, Switzerland, the Netherlands and Belgium.
Thailand was also named the best place to find new love.
