UK expat reveals the worth of Twitter

Twitter

For an expat, the ability to connect with people is vital. Living and working abroad away from your family and friends can create a sense of loneliness and isolation, and some also find it difficult to make new friends in a foreign land.

However, in present times connectivity is becoming less of problem, and through the internet we are able to keep in touch with family and friends, whilst also meeting new people who share similar interests.

Such resources are invaluable for expats, and one of the most valuable platforms available is certainly Twitter.

The worth of Twitter has been highlighted in a recent interview published by The Telegraph. They spoke to Lisa Sadleir, a British expat living in Spain, who detailed her experiences using the site: “Twitter can be great fun and it can also be a great source of information. I have met so many new people thanks to Twitter, people from all parts of Spain and people I probably would not have met otherwise.”
